The Ultimate Semi-Rotary Laser Converting Solution has Arrived

March 30, 2015 – ROLLING MEADOWS, IL., USA – Laser die cutting leaders, Spartanics, announces the installation of the new E-Cut Semi-Rotary Die Cutting Solution powered by SMAG in their demo facility in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. This will be the first permanent demo facility for the E-Cut semi-rotary die cutting system in the North America. In addition, Spartanics will be available for demonstrations of a wide variety of laser cutting solutions developed for the label market.

The highly popular laser cutting machine manufacturer has partnered with SMAG Graphique, European semi-rotary label converting experts, to combine their core technologies to further enhance label production. The SMAG E-CUT Semi-Rotary Converting Solution is now available with a Spartanics X-350 Laser Die Cutting Module for demonstration in SMAG’s world headquarters in Paris, France.

The E-Cut Semi-Rotary Converting Solution / Spartanics X-350 Laser Module was unveiled at the Xeikon Café Packaging Innovations Show last week. The system comes equipped with a 200 or 400 Watt Spartanics laser die cutting module, Spartanics Laser Optimization Software, a semi-rotary or full rotary UV flexo printing station, a full rotary/semi-rotary die cutting station, slitting station and rewind roller. By combining semi-rotary tooling and laser die cutting, label manufacturers are able to take advantage of greater flexibility in cut geometries and reduced costs for tooling while achieving comfortable running speeds of 30 – 40 meters per minute.

In addition, SMAG Graphique will be hosting an open house March 31st and April 1st in France. Visitors will be able to get up close and personal with the E-Cut Semi-Rotary Converting Solution equipped with the Spartanics X-350 Laser Module. SMAG Graphique is also welcoming guests into their facility for personalized demonstrations during the month of April.
